Grade 10 crisis: Parents question school placement criteria

Some parents under the pioneer competency-based education system remain stranded even after the review of learner placement to grade 10. Several parents whose children scored over 60 out of a possible 72 points are questioning the criteria used to place them in C2 schools, which are equivalent to the former extra county schools. The Ministry of Education says more than 20,000 learners applied for the top 3 schools, which have a capacity of 500 each, making it difficult to place them all.
