ERNIE'S LITTLE LIE is a 1983 Sesame Street book featuring ERNIE & BERT. ERNIE decides to enter an art contest that MR. HOOPER is judging. Just as he finishes his drawing of RUBBER DUCKIE, the mail comes and he sees some of the best art he has ever laid eyes on from his cousin FRED of a tiger. BERT COMES home and believes the tiger illustration was ERNIE's submission and runs off to go bring it to enter into the contest. The picture is highly praised by the other contestants like BIG BIRD (who drew a sunflower) and OSCAR THE GROUCH (who drew his trash can) and wins first prize at the contest. ERNIE wants to clear up the confusion, but everybody likes the painting that he didn't do. What will ERNIE do??
