TOP 20: MOST EFFECTIVE JAPANESE PSAs! (Eng Subs)

You might have noticed I've been into all things to do with Japan recently on this channel! It's always been an interest of mine since I was younger, but now that I'm studying more of the language a lot more formally (one of the good things to have come out of lockdown), means I can more effectively search for and comprehend a lot more Japanese PSAs. So I've made it my duty to bring as many as I can through to the mainstream PSA/PIF community so we can appreciate and critique them. I've noticed the main themes in a lot of PSA type ads from Japan is that they all seem to be monitored and approved by 'AC Japan' - I'm assuming that Ad Council Japan is similar to what we had with the COI as in a central public advertising agency that produces governmental campaigns and signs them off. (R.I.P COI. We'll never forget you.) Common themes among Japanese PSA adverts seem to be drug use (specifically stimulants, which seem to be linked to the high-stress elements of Japanese work/school culture), suicide prevention (again, probably something to do with the overwork but also the increasing social isolation amongst especially the youngest and oldest of their generations - see videos on 'hikikomori' and 'lonely deaths' to study these phenomena more - very sad) As I always say with these videos, these are just the ones I found the most striking personally, you may agree or disagree, it's fine - we're all friends here! If I have made any errors in translation, native speakers are ALWAYS welcomed and encouraged to let me know, so that I can amend this accordingly. I'm still very much a novice to the language - kanji and grammar seem to be my two biggest stumbling blocks thusfar, but, I am hoping to get there. So, without further ado... 行きましょう!
