Sony A7SIII 10 Bit 4K 50p/60p Video Test (Part 1) Finally, it has been 5 years and its finally here. The Sony A7SIII. I’m going to break down into few different parts, just like the Canon R5 video. The first one is the 10-Bit 50p/60p video test, then the part 2 will be lowlight, then the final part is the 4K 100p/120p. So why I’m excited? As I have been filming with Sony since the original A7S. It has been 6 years now. I always love the lowlight performance of this camera. As I do a lot of weddings. Lowlight is very important for me. Having a good lowlight camera I don’t have to worry too much when there is a super dark candle light reception. (I know this one isn’t the lowlight, but stay-tuned for the part 2). So what has changed comparing with the Mark II, its pretty much everything. You now get the 4K 120p, 10-Bit 4:2:2 colour. Awesome video AF, and high bitrate. And this is something I never saw in the last 6 to 7 years. For some reason, Sony always stuck with 100mbps. But finally not on this one. So in terms of the workflow, it’s so much easier than working with Canon R5 footage. Even my iMac Pro didn’t struggle with 10-Bit 4:2:2 high bitrate files. It playbacks smoothly.
