Travel has changed for me over the past year and I want to talk about it! I took a short trip to Portland, Maine for the views and Lobster! The Portland Head Light, Bite into Maine and The Lobster Shack! I'm having trouble figuring out how to travel now that I'm not on the road full time. This trip was a chance to take a step back and see a place that I missed on my road trip across the US, Cape Elizabeth! The Portland Head Light is just outside of Portland Maine in Fort Williams State Park. The light is one of the most iconic in the country and offers so many picture opportunities. The Park also has a sand beach which is more rare in Maine then you would expect. While there I tried a lobster roll from Bite into Maine. I went with the Maine roll with warm butter, but they are famous for their variations on the lobster roll offering different flavor options like curry, wasabi and chipotle. Next I haded to Two Lighthouses at the tip of Cape Elizabeth. I enjoyed the waves for a while before heading to The Lobster Shack for dinner. I grabbed a lobster dinner and an order of shrimp. I'm not sold on whole lobsters just yet. They are good, but it would have been fun to share. Don't skip the shrimp if you're there! They were excellent and next time I'm grabbing some onion rings! Venmo @Laura-Williams-242 I use the Native Lands website and App to learn the history of people native to the areas that are now national parks. This is a great place to learn more about the people of America and this history of where you live. https://native-land.ca/ All music for my videos comes from Epidemic Sound. My plan was to travel the world, but my timing was horrible. I decided to stay closer to home and explore the US. That decision promopted me to build out my Ford Transit van and travel to every National Park! I've currently been to 52. Along the way I made it to all 50 states IN ONE YEAR! I can't believe it actually happend but from April of 2021 to April of 2022. Now its on to new crazy adventures! DISCLAIMER: Links included in this description might be affiliate links.
