Join Michael Dennin, UCI Vice Provost for Teaching & Learning and Dean of Undergraduate Education, as he discusses UC Irvine's Summer FAST PASS programs, a collection of course clusters that fulfill various general education, major, and minor requirements. Many of these courses are offered online, giving students the flexibility to learn and earn credits anywhere in the world! Summer FAST PASS clusters fall into three different categories: Summer FAST PASS Engage: This category of course clusters is designed to help incoming students get a headstart on important courses they will need to jumpstart their UCI journey. All course clusters in this category are online; however, some have set meeting times, so make sure to check the schedule. Summer FAST PASS Explore: This category of course clusters is designed to help new and current students explore different areas of study. The courses in these clusters are ideal for students considering changing their majors or picking up a minor. Summer FAST PASS Advance: This category of course clusters is designed to help students make progress in their majors and/or minors. The courses in these clusters contain essential course sequences that fulfill many major/minor requirements. Enrolling in Summer FAST PASS clusters not only opens up a world of enriching courses but also offers the financial relief of our Pay-for-Only-8 program. This means you only need to pay for 8 of the total units in the cluster, making your education more affordable and accessible! Enrollment: Enroll in Summer FAST PASS courses through the regular Summer Session course enrollment page. Just search for the courses in each cluster and enroll. No additional application is necessary!
