We saw the patient @ 24hrs post treatment and the swelling had gone done (and pain was 0/10). At 72hrs post treatment, patient's swelling had decreased significantly in size and finally @ 7 days, the patient reports swelling almost gone. I didn't mention it in the video b/c it is controversial, however, the patient was provided with 7 days x 500mg Amoxicillin (TID). We are trained that antibiotics are not indicated unless there systemic indications of an infection, however, it is fairly common that we provide abx in these situations.
