In this episode, your children learn about Mary Magdalene and how she was one of Jesus's truest and most dedicated friends. Even when times were sad, Mary Magdalene stayed close to Jesus, watching over him at his crucifixion and burial. The children will learn how: Mary Magdalene bravely went to Jesus's tomb on Easter morning to care for him, only to find the tomb was empty. While she was crying and sad, a man came to her and she realized it was Jesus! He was alive! Jesus then gave her a special mission: to go tell his other friends that he was alive and had risen from the dead. This episode shows us that a true friend sticks by you through the happy times and the sad times, just like Mary Magdalene did for Jesus. And sometimes, being a good friend means you get to be the first to share some really, really good news!
