OM Systems OM-1 | V90 and V60 SD Card Test

This is just a quick SD Card test. I test two of my V90’s and V60’s. I no longer have any V30’s so I don’t have those to test. Basically, I measure the time using my phone’s stopwatch but you know it’s not going to be the most accurate just because my reaction time is a bit slower. But you can still get the idea of each card’s write speed. The test is all in High-Res mode so you can see how fast it can write with each card. I format each card before each shot. I also show each cards write speed so you know what they are. If you don’t care to see the individual tests. Here are the results. Clearly, the faster cards write faster. No surprise here. The cards are not that far apart in terms of speed. What I found surprising most is how inconsistent the 128gb V60 card wrote. This test shows one big thing. The next camera should have a CF-Express card of some sort. Some CF-Express type A cards write at over 1000MB/s. That’s 3x faster than the fastest V90 I own. Which if it can write 3x faster than we can safely assume these shots can finish writing in less than 2 seconds. And THAT is exactly what can really benefit the OM-1 Mark II/OM-2 whatever they decide to call it. Faster cards can process any of these features faster. For those that say the SD Cards are cheaper. That only applies to the V60 and V30 cards. If you grab a V90 card, then those are sometimes more expensive. I hope you find this video helpful.
