Everyone is born to excel in one or more areas. Emmanuel Yannakoudakis stresses the moral obligation we have to discover our talent and our professional inclinations Professor of Computer Science, Consultant / Adviser of the European Union since 1982, Associate Editor / Referee for several international journals, External examiner for Ph.D. candidates throughout Europe and Africa. The subjects taught include Computer Science, Databases, Programming Languages, Expert Systems, and Psychometric Information Systems. Studied Computer Science and obtained his Ph.D in Computer Science in 1979 from the University of Bradford, England, where he taught at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Schools (1975-1989). He is Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS), Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.), Chartered Information Technology Professional (CITP), Member of the Greek Computer Society (MGCS). He has directed several major research projects and has designed several information systems and databases in the areas of Library automation, Vocational counseling, Psychometric tests, Information retrieval, etc. He was one of the first programmers to implement psychometric testing back in 1974. Has designed special information systems for three Presidents of the Hellenic Republic. He has published 55 papers at International Journals, 74 papers at Conference Proceedings, and 19 Books some of which are with International publishers.
