26 ‘like-minded’ political parties will attend the two-day mega opposition meet in Karnataka's Bengaluru to chart strategy for 2024 polls. This comes after the first meeting that took place in Patna on June 23. Ahead of the second round of Opposition meeting, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh targeted PM Modi and said, "PM and BJP are baffled. After the Patna meeting, PM suddenly thought of NDA. Attempts are being made to breathe new life into NDA." Meanwhile, Congress has decided to back AAP on the Centre's ordinance issue. Sonia Gandhi is likely to attend the Bengaluru meet but there is suspense over Sharad Pawar's participation following the NCP split in Maharashtra. The two-day session will begin with a dinner meeting to be hosted by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday and another formal meeting on Tuesday.
