The local town doctor, Javis, is spreading rumors that she is a witch because her talents as a healer are taking away business. She tells William every town is the same because she's moved several times before meeting him. Verity doesn't know the ship is heading for the New World until she talks to the captain. At the time, she just wanted far away and jumped on the ship without a care about where it was going. I made the ending true to her nature. Despite not getting along with one of the other travelers, Verity still attempts to save her. Masks by myself, Random Nameless Channel (aka TheNamelessDoll), and VarRoman.
