Douma told Inosuke he won't be using a nirchin blade but his fan, Inosuke trained everyday to go to the final selection. At the final selection Tanjiro mistaken Inosuke as a girl and time skips after that. Inosuke came back to Douma's temple alive and Douma was glad. Later on a few weeks later Inosuke gets a mission from the crow and told Douma he would be going on his mission. Later on he met Tanjiro again and became friends with him and Zenitsu too, he also became friends with the hashira's and Nezuko!
