In this video, I fly Japan Airlines on a domestic route from Tokyo Haneda (HND) to Fukuoka (FUK) aboard a Boeing 767-300 to review JAL Class J, Japan Airlines’ domestic business class style product. This is episode 4 of my Japan Aviation Series and a full gate-to-gate trip report on one of my favorite aircraft, the winglet-less Boeing 767. This Japan Airlines 767 review shows the full experience from check-in at Haneda Terminal 2, security, lounge access, boarding, cabin tour, inflight service, and landing into Fukuoka. I also explain how Class J works, why it is often called domestic business class, and how it compares to economy and international business class. You will see the 2-2-2 Class J seating, seat controls, legroom, power outlets, recline, footrest, tray table, and the overall comfort of JAL’s Boeing 767 cabin. I also test the JAL inflight Wi-Fi, look through the Skyward inflight magazine, show the route map and fleet overview, and explain what inflight entertainment is available on domestic Japan Airlines flights. Unlike many airlines, Japan Airlines does not serve meals on most domestic flights, even in Class J. In this video I show the drink service, including Japanese green tea, and explain how domestic flying in Japan is very different from Europe or the United States.
