Discover the story of how the very first Russian community on Samal Island came to be! I arrived here in May 2011 as the first Russian woman on the island, at a time when there were no foreigners around. In August 2011, I created the very first Russian community here, and my parents became my first guests. Later, friends from Singapore and other places joined. In late 2011, Denis, who later founded the “Russian Village,” visited my resort, followed by Andrei Filipinez in 2012. Through my Russian blog, I shared stories of my life on this paradise island, inviting people to stay and experience the beauty of Samal. Many Russians came to visit, and some even stayed to become part of this unique community. To this day, we’ve maintained friendships with many who discovered Samal through my stories.
