When a Memorial Day weekend power outage hit, we decided it was the perfect time to test our new Sun Oven! We’ve used solar cookers before — including a Solavore — but after some bad luck (and a highway mishap at 75 mph), it was time for an upgrade. In this video, we show: How easy the Sun Oven is to set up and aim. How quickly it heats up (200°F in just 5 minutes, 300°F after 10 minutes!). How it handled baking cheddar biscuits and cooking cabbage rolls. Real-world performance chasing the sun across our property. Tips on bakeware to use and things to watch out for.
