Description of the case #102 uploaded to the ATPDraw website made available for registered users (must be logged in) in the following link: http://www.atpdraw.net/showpost.php?i... Thermal network of three single-core 10 kV XLPE copper cables with a copper screen wires and PVC jacket. Cables are solidly bonded, regularly transposed and located 1 m below the ground in a flat configuration. Uniform soil properties are assumed throughout. Spacing between cables is equal to one cable diameter. Physical and dimensional data of single-core cable are taken from IEC 60228. Electrical resistivities, temperature coefficients and factors for skin and proximity effects are taken from IEC 60287-1-1. Thermal resistivities and volumetric specific heat of materials are taken from IEC 60853-2. Implementation was made by use of ATP-EMTP MODELS language. This case was updated by me in collaboration with author Prof. Wlodzimierz Kalat from Politechnika Warszawska
