AitR™ AUDIO DEMO IR-Pack, comparison Product Pages: GB-rd: https://www.aitr.nl/?page_id=1483 FD-tw: https://www.aitr.nl/?page_id=1502 V30: https://www.aitr.nl/?page_id=1509 7080: https://www.aitr.nl/?page_id=1383 AP-pro: https://www.aitr.nl/?page_id=1514 Cabinets: 2x12 & 2x8 Closed Back FRFR Color in this comparison: BRN Compatible with all modelers that support .wav IR-format AitR™ - GB-rd The AitR™ GB-rd Virtual Speaker is based on a Celestion® G12 Vintage Rock Driver speaker with a GreenBack magnet. This AitR™ variant is aged and - over the years - we (the guys from AitR™) have used it with great pleasure during many gigs (in a Vintage Huges & Kettner® 2x12 cabinet). Because this speaker has been widely used at high volumes, this speaker is naturally 'broken in'. Therefore the character of this speaker has a considerable warm “thumb”, whereby high (harness) tones are smoothly suppressed. The AitR™ GB-rd is very suitable for (classic) rock and also comes alive when producing warm jazzy (clean) tones. AitR™ - FD-tw The AitR™ FD-tw Virtual Speaker is based on an aged (90s) Fender® “The Twin” speaker. This speaker has been used frequently - during many gigs - by us in pop/rock bands, which means that the original - Speaker is "broken in" in a natural way. This speaker is characterised by a substantial bass boost, while the typical Fender® sparkle can also be heard in the high-end, Unwanted “harshness” is subtly suppressed. The typical "Fender® - vibe" comes alive when using single coil pickups, where the attack is clearly felt and fat. Distorted tones sound nice and round and smooth (also when using humbucker pickups in addition to single coil pickups). Furthermore the AitR™ FD-tw is able to produce great warm jazzy tones. AitR™ - V30 The AitR™ - V30 Virtual Speaker is based on the famous Celestion® G12 Vintage-30 speaker, which has undergone a crisp aging and is beautifully “broken in”. The original speaker for our IR-packs is a 16 Ohm variant, which sounds both warm and tight. Contrary to the name “Vintage”, the V30 produces a modern sound, which is loved by many famous guitarists. The AitR™ V30 is very suitable for distorted sounds as well as clean sounds. This virtual speaker sounds super powerful, tight and has sparkling highs (while the unwanted harshness is absent). AitR™ - 7080 The AitR ™ - 7080 Virtual Speaker is based on - the favourably priced - Celestion® G12P-80 seventy-80 Speaker. Despite the lower price, this speaker has great capabilities. Certainly in the form of an impulse response, where the speaker characteristics are independent of the monitoring volume. AitR™ - AP-pro The AitR™AP-pro Virtual Guitar Speaker is based on a 1990s 4 Ohm, 8 inch Applause® Pro-Series Speaker. This speaker was used in an Applause® 1x8 open back guitar combo, which sounds remarkably good. Despite the small dimensions, this 8 inch speaker has a very fat warm sound. https://www.AitR.nl AitR™ stands for: "Amp in the Room". Mission Our mission is to provide Impulse Responses (IR’s) that let your modeler + FRFR sound (and feel) like a realistic ‘Amp in the Room’. We create guitar speaker Impulse Responses (IR's) because we love to use compact and light weight hardware and have a great sound. A compact amp-modeler in combination with an FRFR is a great solution. However, we also wanted to enjoy the authentic “Amp in the Room” sound. Our experience is that a miked cabinet (the basis of traditional cab simulators and IR's) are really suitable for recording, but do not feel like a real “Amp in the Room” when reproduced via an FRFR system. Since 2016 we have dedicated ourselves to our passion and mission: Creating IR’s that approach the real “Amp in the Room” sound (and feel) as close as possible when we play guitar through an amp modeler + FRFR. AitR™-Processing All captured speaker profiles are processed by our AitR™-technology©, that we research and develop since 2016. Resulting in IR’s that - as close as possible - match the natural sound of real 1x12, 2x12, 4x12 open/closed-back cabinets when monitored via FRFR-systems. We wish that you - just like us - enjoy the “Amp in the Room” experience with our AitR™-IR's. Do you want to know more? Please visit our Frequently Asked Questions page.
