The Ancient Path.  Theme: Decline creates crossroads, not dead ends. Spiritual Formation Practice: Prayer for Direction Take 5 minutes to sit in silence and reflection on Jeremiah 6:16. Take a moment to breathe, to center your heart and thoughts on God. Read Jeremiah 6:16 - “This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.“ Then ask: “Lord, where am I standing at a crossroads?”  Pause, breathe, and wait a moment or two. Imagine the crossroad you’re at, the decision you need to make, the paths that lay before you. Pray slowly: “Teach me your way, O Lord.” Pause, breathe, and wait a moment or two. Let God speak and begin to give direction. Pray slowly: “Teach me your way, O Lord. Amen.” Formation begins with honest attention to where we are at this moment.
