Welcome to the Barrens. Perhaps the best zone that classic World of Warcraft has to offer. My warrior journey continues in 2026. In this video, I’ll focus mainly on gameplay, but I’ll also talk a bit about lore and quests. There are multiple parts to cover the full Barrens experience. Some lore: In the Barrens, the Harpies are confined to the Dry Hills, located in the far northwest corner. Harpies are the descendants of Aviana, the Great Raven Ancient who fell during the War of the Ancients. While once graceful and noble, the Harpies have devolved into savage, territorial predators. They are known for being exceptionally cruel.
