Ted takes flight (first flight of 2025) in the wonderful T6 Harvard "Wacky Wabbit". Special thanks to Donny for organising this and also Pilot David Petters for giving Ted some G's to pull. A classic example of a North American T-6 built by Canadian Car & Foundry Company as a Harvard IV. This cool example was built in 1953 powered by one cool Pratt & Whitney Wasp R-1340-AN-1 producing 600hp with a max speed of around 205mph. As she was built in Canada, she features a heating system which is direct heat from the exhaust. The problem is, with not control of the heating, she is a warm bird all year round. G-BJST is the official serial number for the aircraft, whilst the livery along with the serial AJ841 is part of a connection to Duxford. It was decided by the owners to choose a Dessert Air Force livery along with a 154 Squadron markings who were based not too far from RAF Duxford, at RAF Fowlmere. 154 Squadron were deployed to the Middle East in 1942. AJ841 also served with 74 OTU (Operational Training Unit) in the Middle East too.
