Along the way, he has won top prizes at some of the world’s leading competitions, including first prizes at José Tomás in Spain, Mercatali in Italy, Adelaide in Australia, Tallinn in Estonia, and Kutná Hora in the Czech Republic. Born in 1991 in Bucharest, Romania, Bogdan discovered the guitar at the age of ten under Liviu Georgescu at the George Enescu Conservatory. His path then led him to Paris, where he refined his craft at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse under Olivier Chassain and Laurent Blanquart, while also benefiting from the insights of Judicaël Perroy. He completed his studies in Geneva with Dušan Bogdanović to earn a second Master’s in Instrumental Pedagogy. Passionate about exploring new guitar repertoires, he regularly transcribes works by composers such as Chopin, Bach, Ravel, and Debussy.
