IEC 61850 is the new protocol that used to make communication between IED to IED and communication between IED and gateways or RTU. in this videos will demonstrate the idea of preparing configuration files for ABB RTU560, in other communication protocols like IEC 60870-5-103,MOD BUS, and SPAPBUS the used concept is master /slave while the here in IEC 61850 the used concept is client /server . i will use rtu til software version 12.4 to configure hardware tree, network tree, and signal tree,then will export icd file in addition to excel export. in another video will see how to prepare scd file using PCM600.
