A few of you have noticed that I have been struggling a little towards the end of this week. I have and for that reason I will not be racing tonight again, but I do plan to host and commentate. If things get too much, I'll bail as needed. So, for tonight, I'd like to finish off Gamer Dans special week with one of our firm favourites, a Decades Night. Very simply, we will run four or five decades one after the other from 21:00 and until 23:00. I'll call out the decade, so we usually begin with 1960's, and people will have a 10 or 15 minute practice session where they can run several cars on track and just enjoy them. Then, I'll open up a short 6 lap sprint race (well track run) where everyone can pick their favourite car from the decade and we simply drive away from the grid in race format. It is not about the winning this one, it is about enjoying the wealth of cars in the game. Because I usually run this until midnight but I'm unlikely to be able to today, I'd like to propose the following: Goodwood - 1960's & 1970's cars - 15 minute free run - 6 lap race - Any tyres, any tune, anything. Saint Croix B - 1980's - 15 minute free run - 6 lap race - Any tyres, any tune, anything. Sardegna A - 1990's - 15 minute free run - 6 lap race - Any tyres, any tune, anything. Monza - 2000 and later - 15 minute free run - 6 lap race - Any tyres, any tune, anything. Nordschleife - Any car. You simply pick you favourite from the night. Only caveats are: No Tomahawk because it is too fast and reduces the race time for other racers. If you car is very quick, please be aware of people in slower cars when overtaking AND please do not run out the laps too quickly. i.e. lapping people. It is not about winning. It is about enjoying the cars. We are trying to raise some cash for Gamer Dan to help him with his hospital travel expenses and possibly some much needed car repairs.
