Hello! Welcome to The Treadle Diaries - my sewing vlog dedicated to slowing down and enjoying the process of sewing! As well as using my wonderful Singer Treadle machine, I also love to hand sew and this week I'm indulging in some slow stitching with the most beautiful Liberty fabrics. I've chosen Liberty fabrics in blues and teals and I'm making what will become an heirloom quilt using English Paper Piecing, or EPP. Watch today as I make an EPP star using 6 diamonds, and see how I plan to lay out my heirloom EPP quilt. This isn't going to be a quick finish, but just the process of sewing by hand and seeing those beautiful Liberty fabrics spring into life one star at a time is enough to keep me going. I've taken some time today to show you how I make a star step by step, including the materials and tools I use. I hope you find it useful, or at least relaxing as you join me for a bit of slow stitching! Thank you so much for watching. Please do subscribe if you haven't already, and switch on the notifications so you don't miss the next video. (and yes, those scissors I'm using are primary school classroom scissors. Someone in my house has borrowed my paper scissors for a project of their own and I can't find them anywhere!!) Have a great week, Take care Toni xx Music courtesy of Epidemic Sound subscription: Distant Fortune by Daniel Kaede Falling Leaves by Jon Algar Smell of Morning Coffee by Franz Gordon
