A HAIR PRODUCT REVIEW! Paul Mitchell Extra Body Boost! Let's get that festive hair in order!!! I very much enjoy exploring new hair products and styling my hair. I explore with different products for thicker hair, as I have naturally quite fine textured hair but lots of it, so anything that boasts volume, lift and texture is a must for me. Though with this said, I also very much love those combed slicked back styles inspired with the 1910’s and 1920’s era at heart. Of course, these styles are always about product choice whether that be a traditional strong hold gel or wet look gel, to a high holding well-oiled pomade or even Brylcreem with that protein enriched bonus offering endless shine to your style. All true favourites of mine. Whilst we are on product choice, another favourite for me is the pompadour style and I am always on the lookout for products which work with me, not against in the quest for the perfect pompadour. Such as, products like shampoos and conditioners designed to create the perfect scalp environment to boast thicker hair growth, sprays to boast thicker hair, increasing structure and fullness, which naturally fall with higher hold products, or hair styling waxes and hair styling pastes that control hair and guide into place to create better styling. I also use texturizing powders and freeze hold styling spray to create these looks such as the pompadour or styles needing big volume or impact. With the pompadour when styling the more height you can create the better, so product choice is key. With product choice I also enjoy trying anything that suggests can work to improve hair styling and my hair quality such as hair oils, serums whether for smoothness or thickness, and I am always willing to try those treatments that tell us we can have more hair. Of course, we can question this, and often we do greatly…. Sometimes it may work, others may just fake it until the next shampoo. With product choice it really does depend on what style I am going for on the day. Products which make life easier such as improved speed of styling or giving hair the feel of more hair when it comes to styling hair, is always worth a try, and you’ll find I often explore many.
