Laser resurfacing is one of the most common procedures performed in our office. We use the Sciton Erbium laser which is a state-of-the-art machine and one of the best on the market. Laser resurfacing works by removing the superficial layers of skin giving patients new skin. It also targets the collagen, boosting the regeneration of collagen and therefore improving the wrinkles. We control the depth: Usually superficial depth is more used to improve sun damage, but we also use it with deeper surfaces on the cheeks to improve the wrinkles and the color problems. On the eyelids, laser is used very successfully improving the bagginess under the eyes, the puffiness, and even the color of the eyelids. The Profractional laser is a deeper laser that we also use to boost the collagen, it does not remove the entire surface of skin but only makes holes in the patients skin and therefore boosting the collagen.
