A Kentish road trip exploring Westerham and the Weald of Kent and its history (Part 1 of 2)

The first half of our Westerham and the Weald of Kent Road trip through Kent. Part of Our Kent Road trip series (   • Kent Road Trips  ) exploring the county of Kent. We start our English road trip on the M25, heading clockwise just outside Junction 5. We direct you onto the A21 & A25 west, and now the adventure begins. Heading south through Sundridge, we first visit the National Trust Emmetts Garden. An Edwardian garden, built over many years, featuring many different areas to explore. Heading onwards, through Ide Hill and over Bough Beech Reservoir, we make our way to the National Trust village of Chiddingstone. After finding a parking space, we explore what is described as 'the best example of a Tudor village.' We stroll around the town, take a look at the Church, find the Chidding Stone, and wander over to the castle with its own fascinating story. We then take the short hop over to our final destination of Hever Castle and have the briefest of looks at this historic castle & gardens.
