This is guide to calculate interference by Pathloss progam. You need to buy interference option: see at Help -- About -- Program Options -- Interference box checked The interference calculation is carried out in two steps. The first step analyzes the transmitters in the Summary module against all receivers in the site database. The second step analyzes all transmitters in the site database against the receivers in the summary module. Important: This must be a microwave application. No provision is made for VHF-UHF links. Call signs must exist for both sites Coordinates must exist for both sites The design frequency must be specified. The antenna code must be specified for each antenna used. The data entry in the Summary or Microwave worksheet module must be complete to the point of a receive signal calculation. The transmit channels must be specified. Reports: The Summary option provided a summary on a site by site basis of any interference cases The Cross Reference option provides case by case cross reference of all the interference cases found in the network The Case Detail option provides all the technical information on each interference case The Hi-Lo Violations should be viewed first to make sure that all sites are either transmitting high or transmitting low. The only exception to this rule is if different frequency bands are used at a site When you are satisfied with the results of the interference calculation the PL 4 files associated with the interference study can be updated. Select Interference -- Update Pathloss Files. The choice is either to update the threshold degradation or to remove the threshold degradation.
