UP Paddy Procurement 2025: Record Farmer Registrations & MSP Benefits |News9

The Yogi Adityanath government’s farmer-friendly policies are showing results in Uttar Pradesh. The 2025–26 paddy procurement season has seen record registrations, with nearly 95% of the 4,000 targeted procurement centres already functional. Over 1.37 lakh farmers have signed up to sell paddy, and more than 35.63 thousand metric tonnes have already been procured within 23 days. Farmers benefit from the Minimum Support Price — Rs 2369 per quintal for common paddy and Rs 2389 per quintal for Grade-A — with payments directly credited to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts within 48 hours. The UP Kisan Mitra mobile app has simplified registration with a secure OTP-based system, ensuring transparency and eliminating middlemen. Procurement started in western UP on October 1 and will begin in eastern UP from November 1.
