Emmaus Nicopolis is an important Christian pilgrimage destination, surrounded by picturesque nature. 💚 Latrun Monastery. Also known as the Monastery of Silence, it was founded in 1890 by the Trappist order. This is their only monastery in Israel. The monks took a vow of silence, which gives this place a special atmosphere of peace and tranquility. Latrun Monastery is situated in a mountainous area near Jerusalem and is known for its wine-making, honey, and beautiful architecture.
