The Doubting Villagers (Telugu) - RSSB Animated Videos

The Doubting Villagers is a short animated movie based on a story from the book “Tales of the Mystic East,” which is a compilation of short stories told by Maharaj Sawan Singh during his discourses. This movie tells the story of a village which experiences a series of adverse events. Each time they suffered an adversity, the villagers sought the counsel of the Village Elder. His reply was always the same: “There must be some good in it. God must have seen some good in this also. … Wait and see.” This reply confused the villagers and they always left dissatisfied. Then one night there was a blackout in their village leaving the village in total darkness. This filled the villagers with fear and frustration. However, as dawn broke, the villagers realized that it was because of this blackout that they were spared an even greater catastrophe. They came to understand that what the Village Elder had all along told them was true: “When we look deep enough, and when we are patient, we will see that everything the Lord does is good.” This story is suitable for all ages, teaching the value of living in the Lord’s Will.
