Cows & Classics: Concert in the Country

Cows & Classics is an annual fundraising concert in support of the Stratford Symphony Orchestra, taking place in late June every year on the farm of David and Annamarie Murray near Mitchell, Ontario. In spite of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was decided that "The Show Must Go On" and as a result the 2020 edition of Cows and Classics is presented as a live-stream event with an all-star cast including operatic stars Roger Honeywell, James Westman, and Phillip Addis, all accompanied by virtuoso pianist Emily Hamper; musical theatre stars Marcus Nance, Franklin Brasz and Barbara Fulton; pianist and composer Paul Shilton; the symphony's principal horn Andrew MacDonald, international flutist Liesel Deppe; solo violinist Ji Won Baxter, Stratford Symphony member and winner of the Emerging Artist Competition; renowned actor Stephen Russell, a member of the Stratford Festival Acting Company for over 35 years; and David Murray on piano. This livestream event is free of charge, but donations are greatly appreciated to support the wide range of activities of the Stratford Symphony.
