MIYABI for Snare Drum Solo --- by Paopun Amnatham Asst. Professor of Percussion (Silpakorn University) Yamaha Artist Principal Timpani (Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra) --- MIYABI was a research musical project under the direction of the Faculty of Music at Silpakorn University and was specially commissioned by the Swiss Percussion Competition in 2023 from Winterthur, Switzerland, and Simon Forster. --- Music Available at   / paopun   or mu1405@hotmail.com --- Program Note Embark on a rhythmic journey with "Miyabi," a captivating composition that draws inspiration from the delicate beauty of "Miyabi-Cha," the Japanese rose. As the rhythmic narrative unfolds, echoes of Tchaikovsky's "Waltz of the Flowers" intertwine with the percussive motifs, adding a touch of classical elegance to the composition. The drum rudiments take center stage, becoming the language through which the essence of the Miyabi rose is translated into sound.
