Future Buildings Visits Norman Hardie Winery

Back in June 2014, Future Buildings visited Norman Hardie Winery, in Prince Edward County. Here's what Norman had to say about wine-making, the county, and why he chose Future Buildings to make his vision into a reality. "Well it all started with a dream to make wines that talked of place and talked of great soils. And I found these magical, magical soils here in Prince Edward County. In 2004 we needed to build a building to make our wonderful wines, and our approach is very natural, as I said, just to use natural yeast, as little sulfur as possible. Future Steel has this magnificent design. We're out here in rural Ontario, and the landscape of rural Ontario is dominated by beautiful barns. And what we wanted to do is we really wanted to fit in with our community. And we looked at the beautiful, magnificent modern lines of the Future Steel building and said, this is going to be perfect. If we elevate it, we can create a modern barn with clean lines and a very minimalist approach. And Future Buildings, I have to say, they were just, they were amazing to work with. Everything from A to Z was done with tremendous competency and expertise. And I think they've created a beautiful place in a very economically efficient way."
