A video taken near Beita town in the occupied West Bank captures masked illegal Israeli settlers brutally attacking Reuters photographer Raneen Sawafta and assaulting journalists, activists and land owners during the olive harvest. The group was peacefully collecting olives when settlers stormed in, injuring ten people and trying to drive them off their own farmland. Illegal Israeli settlers have a long record of using violence to seize Palestinian land, backed by a system that protects them and punishes their victims. Every outpost they establish violates international law, yet Israel continues to expand them while its security forces look on. The UN has already found Israeli authorities guilty of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, and the same structure of impunity has enabled decades of settler land grabs in the West Bank.
