What is photonics? And why should you care?

It was announced last year that Rochester would be home to an integrated photonics manufacturing hub, part of a $600 million public-private partnership with federal, state and private funding. But what is photonics? And what could its economic impact mean for our region and beyond? Innovation Trail reporter Sasha-Ann Simons explored these questions in a special report.
