I had been on this road years ago when we hiked across the ridge above it. This time Chip and I went to see if there were any old mining ruins. There were but nothing worth the walk. However, what we did find was lots of garbage from human traffickers. That garbage never set well with me. Last week Chip and I returned to clean it up. We took down two construction garbage bags worth of debris left behind by the cartel. You find this stuff all over in the mountains and backcountry. It's kind of disturbing.
