Old Nairobi, Kenya vs Young Abuja, Nigeria These two are inland metropolises, both the capitals of the world's underdogs, battling for the bottom half of which is the least ugly. One would normally expect the new guy in the house to assume the throne, but Nigeria never fails to secure the bottom position. Abuja is the definition of a sh!thole. It gives cities a bad name and reinforces the supposition that Nigerians should stay out of running anything. Nairobi does have some class and style, but the incapability of the black man has overwhelmed the city. It boasts better hotels, connections between the city and the country, internet access, trains, and better infrastructure and living conditions, with an almost guaranteed uninterrupted power supply. Abuja has almost no running water, and an uninterrupted power supply is a dream that left Nigeria over 40 years ago and doesn't seem likely to return anytime soon. The driving style is probably the most chaotic in the world, with the police and authorities being absolutely corrupt and incompetent. Abuja isn't only burdened by the black incapacity; it is also crippled by a terrible mixture of backwards Islamic and a poisoned Christian culture. There are more eateries, fastfood, or bars than factories, higher institutions of learning, or hospitals. In short, Abuja is a hopeless place, devoid of culture, identity, or tourist attractions. Nairobi is a better city by all metrics. My advice: Stay away from Abuja.
