They were the children of Gaia the Primordial Goddess of the Earth and played big roles in the myths as locations to important events including Actaeon being ripped apart by his dogs, the imprisoning of Typhon the King of Monsters, and the location where Dionysus the God of Wine was born. The most famous of the Ourea was Mount Olympus, the home to the Olympians and where Zeus ruled the Universe.
