THINGS TO NOTE ● The "Anchorlight" name was used for a prior NMS corvette build from 2 months ago. I'm retconning that to name this ship the Anchorlight now. SHIP DESCRIPTION The CG-270 Anchorlight-Class is the latest addition to Lindan Engineering Corporation’s CG Cargo Grid series. Designed as a dedicated light cargo hauler, the Anchorlight serves as an entry-level hauler and little cousin to the Class M CG-900 Star Anchor heavy long-hauler and the Class B CG-570 Delacore multi-role freighter. Drawing inspiration from both vessels, the Anchorlight employs a scaled-down Delacore hull while incorporating the Star Anchor's signature forward cargo prongs to maximize external load capacity. As a Class B hauler, the Anchorlight delivers performance figures that exceed expectations for a ship of its size. Its reinforced forward prongs can securely mount up to six StorMax cargo containers, while the internal cargo bay provides additional storage—bringing total hauling capacity to over 58 tons, excluding fuel, supplies, and personnel. Power is supplied by a Type-7 Grav Reactor combo unit, supporting the central STL-110 engine, CHI-220 VTOL thrusters, and all onboard systems, including life support and shields. Requiring only a single pilot to operate, the Anchorlight is fully self-sufficient for extended cargo runs, while still accommodating up to two additional crew or passengers if needed. Standard armament consists of dual MKB Electro Pulse Lasers paired with twin Direct Fire Rotary Gatling Guns, providing dependable defensive coverage along established trade routes. For operations in higher-risk sectors, an optional dorsal-mounted MT50 auto turret can be installed. Despite being the smallest vessel in the CG Cargo Grid series, the Anchorlight is capable of hauling over three times the cargo capacity of the Delacore and approximately a quarter of the much larger Class M Star Anchor—all while retaining the footprint of a typical Class B transport. This allows the Achorlight to access all major spaceports, even at full load. As part of Lindan Engineering Corporation’s CG cargo series, the Anchorlight continues a proven lineage of freighters engineered to keep trade lanes moving across the Settled Systems.
