TogetherForSharon® In memory of my Mother, Sharon to voice awareness & hope for a Parkinson's Disease cure. Listen to The TogetherForSharon® Podcast on Spotify https://open.spotify.com/episode/30Fb... Christine hails from Boston and founded Club RED (read, eat drink) over 14 years ago. What started as a group of friends and neighbors getting together monthly has turned into an international book club with formed groups in England and Ireland. Club RED has achieved many successes: · Over 87% in person author participation. · Raised over $30k to various charities. · Travel both domestically and internationally every year. Christine's approach to lead this book club is to foster relationships with authors, publishers, publicists, and bookstores. This has given Club RED many opportunities to create dynamic meetings that engage members and authors alike. In 2024 Club RED: · Curated a literary fundraiser with Fiona Davis and the Michael J Fox foundation to raise over $12,000 for Parkinson's Research. · Teamed up with Sony and Showcase theatre to be the first to have an advance screening of “It Ends with Us” by Colleen Hoover. Selling out the theatre with our Friends and Family event! · Hosted two other local Friends and Family events: July Anniversary party with author and ice cream truck. August meeting at nail spa with author. · Created director positions for key people to assume responsibilities of Club organization. · Traveled to Ireland as a group of 25 in October to meet with two authors. · Supported the launch of new local bookstore, “the Next Chapter” which will now be their book seller for all events. This is not Christine’s career: She is part of the Category management team for a major supermarket chain, a fitness instructor and Mom to a 14-year-old Bichon Frise pup. Creating connections and building relationships has been key to her successes in life. / club.red.read.eat.drink / heyheyoshea An interview with Fiona Davis Best Selling Author on Advocacy https://www.togetherforsharon.com/fio... @michaeljfoxfoundation #teamfox
