The Alappuzha-Kannur Executive Express train caught fire yet again in the early hours of Thursday at Kannur Railway Station, six months after it was targeted by arsonists in April. The event took place when the train was stopped at the station. However, there were no casualties noted. The Kozhikode railway arson case two months ago involved the very same train. After receiving a report regarding the event, the fire department arrived and extinguished the flames. The train's other coaches were split apart from the carriage that was on fire.
