That's why we've installed the EndgameCombat mod. It adds more turrets and other new weapons to deal with the Biters. 0:15 Unfortunately it makes the enemies harder as well, but we didn't know that beforehand ^^. My friend wanted to play on a snow biome. The vanilla game doesn't have that so we installed the Alien_Biomes mod. 0:33​ You see that we sometimes tear down huge areas. 0:49​ The Biters were the horror in this part. 1:04​ In this area we produced all the "special items" like turrets, weapons, buildings. Basically everything what has nothing directly to do with science. 1:20​ As the base grew the planes become more useful. 1:23​ Our first small nuclear power plant 1:24​ We are 100% transparent here :D. So, at this point we deactivated the Biters for a short time. That was because our modded nukes were increasing the pollution so high that we couldn't deal with the Biters anymore. 1:35​ We build a huge defense system here. It contains a line of standard and laser turrets but the biggest part here plays the insane amount of landmines. The mines alone were enough to defend our base. 1:36​ In the center you can see the construction of our second bigger nuclear power plant. 1:43​ And here joins our third player. He has no idea how the main part of the game works. So, his ONLY job the entire time was to put concrete everywhere xD. HE HAS 70 ingame hours where he just paved the floor with concrete... 2:02​ Our third nuclear power plant was a blueprint from the internet. 2:11​ We tried to highlight all the rails and buildings with "yellow warning" concrete. But when I say we, I mean our friend... 2:14​ A little outpost. 2:35​ We never planed or had the motivation to build a megabase but we didn't know the true scale of 2500spm at this point. At first we thought it would be an easy-going task but later we were suffering under crippling depression. 2:38​ Here you can see 150.262 landmine kills after 96hrs. 2:43​ This is the little complex for red science 2500spm. 2:47​ Green Science 2500spm 2:52 Grey Military Science 2500spm 3:00​ This is the beginning of our long term construction site: The Transfer-Railway Station. The inner circle has short trains and the outer circle has long trains, the station is the connection point between both. After that I needed a one month break from the game :D. And I've sworn to use only drones for the next science-complexes. 3:29​ Yellow Science 2500spm. Builded with modular construction and drone frameworks -I needed the Faster Drone Charge mod at this point- 3:39​ Somewhere at this point we deactivated the Biters entirely for our mental health. 3:47​ White Science 2500spm.
