When the drought hits hard and the winter feed disappears, you don’t get to sit around and hope things improve. You move. You load up, you haul, and you do whatever it takes to keep the animals fed and the operation alive. This is our second trip hauling sheep to California this season — a 1,400-mile round-trip from snow and rain to green winter grazing right on the border of Mexico. And like everything in ranching… nothing went as planned. From wet sheep and mud-filled trailers to weather delays, last-minute pasture changes, and long nights sleeping in the trucks, this haul had a little bit of everything. In this video, we take you through:• Preparing the herd• Pushing sheep between fields• Weather delays that changed everything• Loading day chaos (with everything soaked)• The long drive south• Unloading into fresh winter feed• The long haul back home• And getting right back to ranch work as soon as we returnedIt’s never clean. Never easy. Never the same twice. But this is ranching. And this is our life. Thanks for riding along with us on this long journey south. We’ll see you on the next haul. @duckworthco @georgiaboot @ranchfuel #RanchLife#FarmLife#Ranching #Livestock#SheepRanching#WorkingRanch#HomesteadLife#CountryLife#Drought2025#1400Miles#SheepTrip #SouthBound#RanchJourney#BorderRun#WinterRanching #ColdWeatherWork #StormSeason#MudSeason#RainOrShine#CattleAndSheep#RanchHands#FarmersOfYoutube#RancherLife#WesternLifestyle#RuralAmerica
