Understanding Our Headwaters

Dr. Chris Hopkinson from the University of Lethbridge explains the science of hydrology and the significance of southern Alberta's headwaters in this short documentary film. Produced for the New Media program at the U of L, this segment is part of a larger feature on the headwaters of the Oldman River Watershed. Written and directed by documentary film-maker Thomas Porter, 'The Water Balance Equation' explains the science of water and the rationale behind conservation efforts in sensitive mountain environments.
