A dream project of young tabla maestro Ojas Adhiya. It is a conversation and amalgamation of traditional tabla repertoire with western classical arrangement. The Symphony is beautifully composed and arranged in the Indian Raag - Mishra Kirwani by the dynamic composer Shri Alap Desai. Basses, Cellos, Violas & Violins from the Chennai Strings are used for this creation that helps underline the melodic content of the composition, which is further beautified by woodwinds and a solo violin ably played by ID Rao & Manas Kumar respectively. No added percussions in the form of cymbals or timpani drums have been used specifically as the Tabla is made the CenterPoint of all percussive elements. It was our humble attempt to bring the best of two worlds together in the form of using Indian classical Tabla patterns against a backdrop of the group string section playing an Indian melody.
