In this pilot episode we sit down with photographer Jimel Primm from Detroit. Jimel is a journalist and documentary photographer whose work captures real stories from communities in Detroit and around the world. In this conversation he talks about a range of his work, from photographs made in Africa to powerful images documenting the Black church. He shares the meaning behind these pieces, the environments that shaped them, and the responsibility of documenting culture and community through photography.
