Welcome to the pilot episode of Shot Clock presented by Go Take Media Shot Clock is the voice of the creatives. Each episode brings together photographers, muralists, painters, musicians, filmmakers, and other creatives to talk about the moments, images, and works that shaped them. The show is about giving life to the stories behind the art. It is a space where creatives reflect on the pieces that defined certain chapters of their lives and the experiences that inspired their work. In this pilot episode we sit down with photographer Jimel Primm from Detroit. Jimel is a journalist and documentary photographer whose work captures real stories from communities in Detroit and around the world. In this conversation he talks about a range of his work, from photographs made in Africa to powerful images documenting the Black church. He shares the meaning behind these pieces, the environments that shaped them, and the responsibility of documenting culture and community through photography. Shot Clock is about process, memory, and the meaning behind the work. These are the stories behind the images.
