By using #MoltenSalt, plant operators can reduce their production costs by up to 20 %. Plants with Molten Salt can also be used for the continuous generation of #ProcessHeat in typical applications around 400 degrees Celsius. Together with DLR, University of Évora and European industrial partners, Siemens Energy has been building a solar #parabolic trough test facility using Molten Salt as its heat transfer medium. It is part of the high performance solar research project located in Evora, Portugal. Some key facts about the plant: ✔ Mirrors gross surface of 4,658 m2 ✔ Total thermal output of up to 3.5 MW ✔ Competitve, flexible and climate neutral #electricity and heat generation Siemens Energy was responsible for the engineering and construction of the entire electrical infrastructures. Including the various systems installed by the consortium partners. In addition, the entire DCS of the plant was equipped with our proven Omnivise T3000 control system connected to two main black box systems. Watch the video to get a brief introduction to this next generation #solar thermal parabolic trough #PowerPlant. ******************* 👉 Find out more about Omnivise T3000 https://www.siemens-energy.com/global...
