The holiday of the FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION OF MARY in CROATIA. On the island of ILOVIK, we have many traditions surrounding VELIKA GOSPA, a Roman Catholic holiday. We have been living, working remotely, and social distancing on the island of ILOVIK for the summer during the COVID-19 PANDEMIC. Otok Ilovik is a hidden gem Croatian island that is an easy day trip from Mali Lošinj in the KVARNER area. This town is an off-the-beaten-path option in HRVATSKA, with less tourism than other cities in EUROPE. In this video we have a PROCESSION up to the small chapel on ILOVIK for VELA GOSPA, followed the next morning with mass at the Church of St. Peter and Paul (Crkva sv. Petra i Pavla), beautiful Croatian accordion music at Restaurant AMICO, and lastly an evening party in front of the church for the whole island.
